We know of quite a number of Confederates who died here in Britain in the 1920's ....John Short the famous blckade runner died in 1933..and Federal Pt Hoare buried in Portsmouth was the last soldier to die here in 1934, but only recently we heard from Michael Hammerson that a participant of the war died here as late as 1943, she was Hannah Beavis Walters who died on March 20 1943, in Southport , England, she had been sitting in church when she was told that nurses were needed at nearby Gettysburg. She was 101 when she died and research is continuing.

The web site is coming along very well and in the near future I hope to add a 'meet the members' section and other items I believe you the Camp members and visitors will find of interest.
