DVD of the July 18 event in Liverpool

Mr. Mike Longster of Lancashire sent me a DVD he had compiled of the July 18 event in Liverpool. Here is my review .......

The DVD arrived well packaged and the cover is well produced, the DVD is about 20 minutes long and has a semi professional feel about it, with a decent narrative voice and appropriate period music as a backdrop, at only £4 it is an economical souvenier of the day. But...it is seriously flawed....the DVD indicates that this was an ACWS event ( erroneously refered to as the ACWRS)?? , there is no mention of either the SCV Camp #2161 John Low , or the Liverpool Heritage Trail. The maker of the DVD didnt realise that it was not an ACWS event and that they provided just the honour guard. The speakers at the event don't feature at all and there is little to be seen of the principal organisors , visitors and guests.
However , in all fairness the producer did contact me for some historical facts and background and I failed to mention that this was an SCV/Liverpool Trail event , because I just assumed he was aware of this.
With some prior consultation with the organisors this could have been a very good DVD indeed , and in fact should Mike want to cover any of our future events he would be most welcome .Despite its flaws this DVD IS an economical momento of the day and at £4 it is recommended as such.

OVERALL RATING 5 out of 10
